Photography as living communication

During the last school holidays, SOS Kannerduerf Lëtzebuerg organised two photography workshops for the children and young people.
Under the motto "Photography is living communication", four children between the ages of 8 and 12 took part in the first workshop and three young people aged 12 and over in the second workshop. The aim of the workshops, which were organised thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Diekirch-Ettelbruck, was to introduce the participants to this art form, which helps to discover, interprete and present interior and exterior worlds. It also opened up new horizons for the participants to express their view of the world and to share their feelings, aspirations and views.
The given topic was "macro photography", a very special form of photography that makes small things look very big and thus creates magical images. Through miniature scenes with animal figures that can be recreated in any garden, one can learn a lot about the art of photography.
